Each workshop can be customized to your specific needs. I do not recommend reducing the time
investment, however, as they are designed to work with the ways that human
beings learn. Information only becomes
useful as it is integrated.
Path to Organizational (or Community)
Health and Balance™ (4 hours). This
workshop gets right to the heart of the matter—exploring how your basic
orientation to the world influences the ways that you perceive and solve
problems, work with other people, make decisions, and more. It is a powerful starting point that will
give you a solid foundation for the other workshops. Prerequisite: none.
Achieving Organizational
(or Community) Health and Balance™ (two days). A healthy and balanced organization or
business can respond to the challenges and opportunities of a rapidly changing
environment. A healthy and balanced
community is a joy to live in. You will
leave this workshop with a detailed plan for how to achieve health and balance
in your organization, business or community.
It is designed for leaders who can bring the knowledge and technologies
back, and implement them. In the process
of learning how to do this, you will begin to assess the current state of
health and balance in your organization, business, or community with simple,
replicable models that stimulate conversations and generate understanding that
make a difference. Prerequisite: Path to
Organizational (or Community) Health and Balance™.
Working with Open Space Technology (three days) This workshop will provide
you with the knowledge, skills and experience to facilitate an OST event. Not only will you learn about the logistics
of doing that, but you will also learn six valuable tools that will help you
work with the sponsors of the event.
These are useful whether you are working for them internally, are
sponsoring it yourself, or are an independent facilitator. You will
understand your role as a facilitator profoundly and have all of the tools you
will need to “open space” for a successful workshop. Prerequisite: none, but most have
participated in an OST workshop previously.
I also provide OST facilitation if you would rather be a participant than a
facilitator.
Conscious Open Space Organization (or
Community)™ four days). This workshop is the first step in a
long-term commitment to transformation.
It is for organizations and communities that experience the value of the
Open Space paradigm, and want to incorporate it into their day to day
operations. Prerequisites: Working with Open Space Technology.
If you decide to take this path, I offer mentoring to the organizational and community members who will lead this process.
Whole Person Process Facilitation Training™ (four days). This workshop is for anyone
who leads meetings. You will leave with a simple but powerful method that
engages the "whole person"--the intuition, the whole brain, listening,
and respectful speaking. This method allows meeting participants' hopes
and fears to be spoken, which gives the group a chance to embrace them
directly, instead of being bogged down by undercurrents. WPPF draw out
the creative, problem solving capacities of everyone present. In the words of one participant at a WPPF meeting:
"You took us from 0 to 60 in just a few minutes and we
became fully engaged in working out the processes we needed to support the new
software we were required to use. We achieved more in a day than we thought we
would in a year. Thank you."
WPPF meetings are not only incredibly productive, they are
also enlivening, life-affirming, connecting, and when appropriate, fun! This
workshop provides a complete knowledge and skill module for consultants,
managers, and leaders, and it can stand alone or be used in conjunction with
other components of the Genuine Contact Program. Prerequisite: none

I have also developed stand-alone workshops and training programs based on the
needs of the clients I serve. Here are two examples of recent designs:
Effective Meeting Skills for Teams and Committee Members. This experiential workshop will address the knowledge and skills that are the most relevant for the group. It can be expanded to include multiple skills if that is warranted. Topics can include negotiating the stages of group growth, fulfilling the formal and informal group roles, managing participation, generating accountability without shame or blame, setting the stage for productive conflict, creating effective and dynamic agendas, and more. (4 to 16 hours).
Talkers vs. Doers—How Personality Types influence Decision Making. Once you understand this, you will be able to harness the contributions of each type, no matter which side you’ve been on or how frustrated the other side has made you. This workshop will bring harmony to your team or community and pave the way for effective action. (4 hours).
